Refund Policy

Last updated 2026-09-04 · Draft for review

This is a plain-language draft written from how the system actually behaves, for review before launch. It is not legal advice and will be superseded by the final policy.

The short version: once an assessment has been started the seat counts as used and is not refundable; an unused seat can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase. The full policy, including exceptions, is below. This page is a pre-launch draft written from how the system actually behaves.

1. There is one test: did you start?

  • The moment you press “Begin Assessment”, the system marks the seat used. That is the line between refundable and not — not whether you finished, passed, or liked your score.
  • Before that moment the seat is unused and can be refunded.
  • The line is sharp because it is an event the system records, not a judgement anyone has to make.

2. When we refund

  • Unused seat: full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided no assessment has been started. [14 days is a draft figure, to confirm]
  • Duplicate purchase: an accidental second order on the same account is refunded in full.
  • Technical failure: if an outage, defect, or data loss on our side stops you completing an attempt you had started, our default remedy is to reissue the seat; if you would rather not sit it again, we refund instead.
  • Charged the wrong amount: the difference is refunded in full.

3. When we do not refund

  • The assessment was started — finished or not, abandoned or auto-submitted.
  • You are unhappy with the score, or did not reach the pass mark of 60. The service was delivered when you sat the exam.
  • Results were invalidated or a certificate revoked under the Terms of Service (cheating, impersonation, leaked content, falsified identity).
  • A seat expired unused. Purchased seats are valid for 1 year, which is ample time to use one.
  • A seat already spent on joining an organization, when you later leave it.

4. Disputing a score is not a refund matter

If you believe a written answer was mis-scored, ask for a review rather than a refund: contact us within 14 days of receiving your report and a human will check whether the rubric was applied correctly. A review may raise or confirm your score; it does not issue new questions or arrange a re-sit. Reviews are free.

5. Organization bulk orders

  • A bulk order is refundable in full within 30 days, provided no redeem code has been used. [30 days is a draft figure, to confirm]
  • Codes already redeemed and started follow the individual rules above and are not refundable.
  • Unredeemed remaining codes may be refunded separately, as unused seats.

6. How to ask

  • Email support@atlas-ai.academy with your registered email address, the order number or purchase date, and the reason.
  • We reply within 5 business days. Approved refunds go back by the original payment method; how fast it lands depends on your bank, typically 5–10 business days.
  • Payments are taken through Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record. It is the party that actually issues the refund, and it is the name that appears on your statement.

7. Statutory rights

Where the law of your jurisdiction gives you stronger refund or withdrawal rights — for example a statutory cooling-off period for digital goods — those rights apply, and nothing in this policy limits them.

8. Contact
